Data and controls

Data managers are flexible and powerful systems for organizing process values. Thanks to its intuitive operation, the data managers adapts quickly and easily to every application. The measured process values are clearly presented on the display and logged safely, limits are monitored and analyzed. Via common communication protocols, the measured and calculated values can be easily communicated to higher-level systems and individual plant modules can be interconnected.

Measuring principle

Data recording systems measure the connected input signals and extrapolate the information required for individual applications. This information is then displayed on the screen of the device and is also stored internally or on an exchangeable data storage medium. This process information can be stored, long term, by transmission to superior systems (e.g. PCs) and is therefore readily available at the touch of a button.

Depending on the process requirement and application the following can be used:

• Data logger: simple devices with integrated digital display
• Data manager: powerful devices for stand alone applications and integration into systems

Common to all these devices is that they operate virtually free of wear and tear (no pens and paper) therefore saving time and money.
